Here are the board positions and full team lists for the SAJCC 2013:
As previously mentioned it is needed to elect appropriate structures in the 5 regions. Since we got only a handful of nominations, nominations can still be done. The regional structure is very important as this will be the only way to raise your voice in school structures and at provincial chess level. Dina will be in Upington (Siyanda) and Kuruman (John Taolo Gaetsewe) this coming weekend and will assist this process. Please contact her for more details.
As we explained in the beginning of the year, we must abide by rules of Sascoc constitution and not only function as a Provincial body, but also in the five district municipalities as separate entities looking after more area specific needs and problems.
Please this does not mean that we must split into different unions! We got permission to participate at junior level (SA’s) as a province for as long as its needed for each region to grow to a entity that can manage on its own.
Below are the proposed CHESSA schedule. As there is currently no regional structure the Provincial structure must help with this.
We will start by setting up a regional structure for each of the 5 regions. The duties of these committees will be minimal in the beginning but they will be able to address problems within their regions with authority.
Please nominate a person you feel is competent and will make a difference in your region
