NC Chess is looking for individuals to avail themselves as Team Managers for the upcoming SAJCC 2016 in Gauteng.
Individuals interested should have :
- A sound knowledge of the game
- Be prepared to engage with the teams during breaks and before rounds
- Interact with the head coach to analyse games and to motivate players
The process will conclude on Monday, 24 October 2016.
Proposed candidates must complete the online application form and will be notified ASAP.
NC Chess reserves the right the make an independent selection of all possible entries.

Dear Chess Community
The Northern Cape Chess Association will be having its 1st Qualifying Open Chess Tournament for 2017 (Chess SA rated) at theTechnical High School, Kimberley on the 15 October 2016.
We are formally inviting you to participate in this tournament. There will be various sections to accommodate players from all age groups. Registration will be R120 per player.
The tournament will also serve as Trials for all the Adult Players to be selected for the Inter-Region later this year at the SAJCC. All junior players who will be participating in the SAJCC must take part in either the Kimberley (15 October 2016) or Upington (29 October 2016) tournament.
Please note that the closing date for entry i 13 October 2016 at 18H00.
Please note that the Kathu Tournament Of 3 September 2016 has been canceled due to logistical reasons.
Be further reminded that the 2 remaining compulsory tournaments will continue as scheduled.
Players MUST play in at least ONE of the tournaments to complete the final board positions.
